Trick or Treat and Swearing In

Well, I am really really trying to get everything put back together after our long trip. I think my mind still thinks its on vacation. I have piles and piles of laundry, a messy house, and SO much to do, but I'm just taking it day by day and getting done what I can when I can. On thursday, Chad was sworn in so he is finally "official" I can't believe the things they have to go through to be called a lawyer. It's crazy but I'm so proud of him. We just had to laugh because we got there just in time for Chad to take the oath and the kid's were loosing it so we had a cookie and got outta there. Tonight, Spanish Fork had a main street trick or treat. It was fun for Grace to finally get to wear her costume. I love holidays in small towns. They really get into it. All of the businesses put out a creature in front of their business and every time we drive down main Grace gets so excited and even has names for some of the people. Her little imagination is so funny. I'm getting so excited for Halloween, hopefully I'll have Chad and my costumes done by Friday!! Happy haunting!!

Okay, I had the video camera, Mike and the still camera all at once and I was trying to document this the best I could, finally I handed Grace the camera and said, "take pictures of daddy!" This is what I got. (thats chad at the far left in the grey)

CHICAGO

My favorite city. We just got back from Chicago and it was amazing. Things were getting a little monotonous around the Staheli house and Chad could tell I was in need of a break. So he took me along on one of his business trips. It was awesome. I forget how much I love that city until I go back. There is nothing like the feeling you get when you are in a place like Chicago. It is really good for my metabolism because I can't sit around and do nothing when the whole city is stirring around. I love the smell of cigarettes and coffee in the morning. Gross to most of you I'm sure, but I love it. We stayed at the Palmer House Hilton for two nights and with our good friends Heather and Allen the last two nights. We met them when we lived in Chi town last year. They were in our ward. We are so lucky to have such good friends so far away. We went to our old ward and were able to see some old friends there also, Holla atcha Paulina and Tereasa!! Anyways, it went by so fast, but I missed my Kid's like crazy and I'm glad to be home. Here's a re-cap!!

Chad and I waiting to go on our boat tour

there is nothing like the Chicago Skyline. It is amazing

the wind was like 100 below zero. I'm suprised my face didn't freeze off.

Ya, I'm patriotic

We shopped till we dropped. Not a good thing for someone like me on a tight budget

So I LOVED Qdoba.. the best Mexi food ever. Chad got a burrito and it was enormous..

We were in the lobby at the hotel and this guy was standing there with the WORST toupee I had ever seen.

So Long So Long.....

Well we are off to Chi town tomorrow. Chad surprised me with a trip to Chicago and his parents are taking care of our kiddos for 5 whole days. I can't believe it. What am I going to do with myself?? Crazy.. I will hopefully have a lot of pictures to put up when I get home, but I had to post some of the latest of my kids. Oh gosh they are so darling!! I will miss you squirts, see you when I get home!!

Okay let me explain the overload of Mike pictures, I can't get a sad picture of this kid. I break out the camera and he is all smiles. Model bound?? We'll see.....

What the?

Okay, this was hilarious, I was in the kitchen doing dishes and I heard Mike yelling really loud, so I went into the living room and he had rolled and gotten stuck under the couch.. soo funny. But of course, he wasn't sad! He just laughed!! mmm squish him... :)

The need to blog.....

I haven't updated in forever. I always go crazy when my blogging buddies go forever without blogging because I love to blog on my limited down time. I have let myself down. I'm doing it tonight and that is all that matters right?? Anyways, here is a little bit of what we have been up to: First, most importantly, WE GOT GRASS!! Ever since we moved into this wonderful old house the outside has been driving us CRAZY. there were so many weeds and goat heads you wouldn't believe it. Well, we have put a ton of work into it and you never could really tell until we were able to put grass in. We were planning on doing sod because I'm so impatient, I thought, if we are doing our yard, I want the results NOW. Anyways, we had some unexpected car problems and with the high prices of everything we had to put our sod money into the car. So, hydro seed was our next option. I'm so glad we did it. They came and put it down about two weeks ago and we finally have grass!! We aren't able to walk on it yet, because it's just baby sprouts, but our house is finally becoming a home. I'm loving it more and more but I get sad because it will be harder to leave this place when the time finally comes. Anyways, second on the recent events, Lydia had some minor surgery last week and I was able to go to Kanab to help her out a bit. I told her she can NEVER get sick because seeing her in a hospital in the gown and all just about gave me a break down. Stay healthy Mamma!! Here are a few little pics of the latest.....

Nothing like a runny nose
She wishes she could fit...

this is what your shoes looked like after walking in our yard for like ten feet.

Our project for tonight. We decided to do something fun with our pumpkins this year
