Last Post of the Year!!!

Well this is my last post of 2008.. I can't believe how fast the year has gone. Honestly, it seems like we were just celebrating Christmas of 2007. Now isn't the time to reflect on the last year, I will save that for a time when I am bored. Right now I am trying to get everything done before wed. We are headed to Yellowstone with Chad's family. His folks rented a cabin and we are ALL headed up there to stay for a week. I am SO looking forward to resting up, relaxing, and knowing that there is nothing I have to do other than those things. We won't be back until the first or second. This week was fun, Sara and Ollie came to play and they got snowed in so they got to stay the night. It was a lot of fun. Chad was in Chicago and he got stuck there so he didn't make it home until the next day at noon. He got home safe tho and that is all that matters!! Now we are just hanging out, cleaning, doing laundry and final shopping. Also, we are in a winter wonderland! We woke up to fresh snow and it hasnt stopped yet! I'm not complaining. I would rather have the fresh pretty stuff than the slushy yucky stuff!! Happy Holidays to all of you, I'm looking forward to seeing all of your holiday pics, so make sure you take lots! I know I will!! Merry Christmas!!!!

So Gracie really misses Grandma Lydia, so she carries this picture of them together on her blessing day all around. Love you Grandma!

This is the best shot I have of Mikey's two teeth. They are so cute. I love this stage.

So Sara and I were looking at video's on hulu and before we knew it, the kids had found my makeup......

Weekend

This last weekend was a fun one. I was lucky enough to have Ang and Lex come up to visit and giggle with me. We had some fun shopping in the blizzard and eating our guts out. Thanks for coming girls. Then on Sat night we went to the festival of lights that they have here in S.F. it was definatley worth the five bucks. On monday Gracie had her first dance recital ever. It was So cute. I have to say, I have the cutest little girl on the planet. She did so good. She knew the dance so well but she couldn't figure out why most of the other girls weren't doing it. So cute...

Okay, in her defense, it was 3 a.m.

Deck the Halls.

I have no Idea why this is clear the trash up here, but this is the tree.. dum da dum dum!!

Sooo this is a much needed post. Things have been busy but with nothing exciting. I did tell Chad I was going to start writing some of the funny things that Gracie has been saying down, todays funny note "Merrily merrily merrily merrily wipe it off the street." I swear this little girl gets funnier every day. Also, she says "You better watch out, you better not wipe" haha... Love her so much. Some not so good news, Mike has learned how to climb up on stuff. With my first, I couldn't wait for the milestones to be hit. The crawling, the talking, the walking... But with my second, I want him to stay wrapped up in a blanket and be imobile for as long as I can help it. Today I was running around trying to find the boy, and as I walked from the stairs to the kitchen, I found that he had climbed up on the dishwasher door. Then later tonight while I was talking to mamma, I couldn't find him again, then I found him up on the printer not knowing how to let go. He also can climb in the fridge. Not bad for his first day of learning to climb. We have gotten our decorations up and most shopping done, now we are just anxiously awaiting Christmas!! yay!!

Sad at the printer

mmmm lemon juice.

The house at night. Awful pic but you get the idea

Turkey, Family, and Twilight!

I honestly can't believe how fast time is flying by. I swear my mind is still looking forward to halloween. Thanksgiving this year was so much fun. We went to Kanab and it was a stress free relaxing holiday. Most of my dad's family was able to come down for the feast. They haven't all been together since my dad's stepdad passed away years ago. We always have such a good time when we get together. This time was really special to me because I have kids of my own that can start making memories with them. My uncle Mike and Aunt Cindy made the 20 hour drive from Kansas just to be with the family. It was SO fun. Then on Friday it was Chad's "magic birthday" he turned 28 on the 28th. I could not find my camera for the life of me, but my parents made him a briefcase cake. It was really nice. Then friday night the girls took off and went to hurricane for twilight. I know, what kind of a wife leaves her hubby on his bday to go see a movie?? That just tells you what a studly man I have myself. He was totally understanding. We went, and had a blast. Saturday was hunting and shotguns, then we decided we should hit the road. We wanted to stay until sunday, but on a whim we thought we should go sat night so the kids would sleep. It was the most pleasant drive! They slept the whole way!! I hope everyone had as good of a thanksgiving as we did!!
