So long baby brother!!!

So here is the crazy thing, my baby brother Chase is off to Brazil to serve his mission for the next two years. I never thought this day would come. When I look at Chase I still see the 4 foot little pain in the neck I always saw. Now he is a HUGE handsome man. I honestly can't believe it. When we were dropping him off at the Provo MTC we ran into another missionary that was going to Brazil and she informed us that their visa's had come in so much to our suprise, he flew to Brazil the next day. We got an email from the mission president saying they got there okay but we won't hear from Chase until next week. The missionary program is so amazing where young men and women are sent out to bring people the truth. I know most people aren't very accepting of the gospel but seeds are planted and they will all know the truth soon enough. Chas e has always had the ability to talk to strangers and he is instantly someone like-able. I am so proud of him and I know that our family will be blessed because of what he is doing. And trust me WE NEED IT!!!!! Love you CJ!

All they need is a pitchfork in their hands!

What a NIGHTMARE

Alrighty, well here is what my weekend consisted of... Friday we were getting ready to go to Logan to help Chad's dad plant 300 trees in their orchard in Logan. Well, I got all packed up and about an hour before we left I decided to give Gracie's hair a little trim. I have been growing it out for the last year or so because she will be in dance soon and I want her to have long hair. Anyways, she was having a really bad day and didn't want me to cut it and that should have been my sign so stop. But being the person I am, I persisted and decided to cut her hair. I got it all cut and finally got to her left side and just as I went to trim the ends off she yelled "NO MOMMY" and jerked her head as far away from me as she could. I ended up chopping her hair no less than a half an inch away from her scalp.. My first thought was utter rage. I sat dumbfounded looking at the side of her head that looked like she got it shaved. I had nothing else to do but cut the rest. I was bawling with every cut of the scissors and for the life of me I could not fix the mess. Finally, I just had to say to myself, "Candace, put down the scissors." One side is longer than the other but I had to just let it be until it grows a little so I can cut a style into it. I called Chad crying my eyes out and said, please don't be mad at me when you see our daughter!!! He made me feel a lot better because he could tell that I was pretty upset. I guess the worst part is, is that it's not like she got a butch job from cutting it herself, I DID IT! And if that's not bad enough, I HAVE A LICENSE TO CUT HAIR. I am so embarrassed I don't know what to do. I swear I'm not that bad at doing hair. It is getting kind of funny every time I look at her, but the wound is still too fresh for Chad to make fun of me. He knows it too. Anyways we went to Logan, I explained myself immediately and it turned out to be a good weekend. At least she has a cute personality right?? right?? oh man.....

Chad in the living room, I'll get more pics of the house on here when I take some, this is all I had

Moving mess...

What a busy week!! We sold our contract (thank goodness) and we are all moved into our new house. It was insane trying to get it all done, and I'm still not done, but the worst is over with. My hands are litterally sore from scrubbing walls. And if I smell pine sol again I might puke. We are blessing Mikey this weekend and I am trying to get everything done before the fam comes on friday and I am getting close. Chad is in finals so he has been feeling a little stressed and there is just something about buying a house that gives many mixed emotions. We are so excited but it isn't easy on the pocket book! Our house was built in 1870 and it was the first house in Spanish Fork to have electricity. The people who owned it before we did put a LOT of money into restoring it so we dont have to worry about the big stuff, windows, roof, plumbing, stuff like that. We love it because it has so much charm. I will post more pics when we are all moved in. Mikey got his RSV shot yesterday and he is 7lbs even. I can't believe how well he is doing. Two more days until his due date and he will no longer be a premie.... kinda. Grace is such a good big sister. I was a little worried because she isn't maternal at all but she is so cute with him. I will post more pictures when I take some at the blessing. But I didn't want you all to think I wasn't into blogging anymore!! p.s. Me and Lex are trying out for deal or no deal on saturday. Stay tuned for pics of that.
