Cali (picture overload)

Chad had a conference in Newport Beach and we had been planning on taking the family the whole time. The closer it got the more stressed I got. How were we going to make it 11 hrs in the car with three small kids? Monday rolled around and we were on our way.  I had no idea it would be so fun. It was just what our little family needed. Chad had to work all day Wed, Thurs, and half of Fri, so it was just me and the kids those days, but we still had SO much fun. Our good friends from law school the Adlongs live there and Robin honestly saved me. It was so nice hanging out with a local and I forgot how much I love that family. They treated us so well and we had such a fun vacation!

Tues night we got in early so we wanted to show the kids the Ocean. The couldn't believe how HUGE it was!!

On Wednesday Robin took us to a little beach she goes to a lot. I can't remember the name, but we could have spent the entire day there.

Rose. This little girl is hilarious and so darling.

We found out the mornings were a little chilly so we would hang out at the hotel most mornings. Grace would color art projects for the whole family.

Poor little Owen hooked under his tongue with a hanger at a store. Also his two top teeth decided to break through while we were on vacay. Thanks O.

The Aquarium! The kids got a little tired of looking at fish, but they still had a lot of fun.

They even got to touch baby sharks and a sting ray!

The jellyfish were my favorite part

Laguna Beach. This place was amazingly beautiful. The Adlongs were telling us how lucky it was that there was no traffic, parking spots all over the place, and hardly any people. We were really lucky, it was the perfect day.

Diego. Ohhh his hair. He is a hairstylists dream come true.

We have been home almost a week and I am still changing diapers with sand in them.

I packed the kids 100 mile bags so every time we hit another 100 miles they got another surprise. It worked wonderfully.

We made it as far as Mesquite on our way down.

Vegas!

We stopped in Barstow for lunch

Grace started to get really carsick so I gave her a dramamine. It didn't kick in until we got to the hotel. Chad was trying to wake her up. We were tired from such a long trip!

Waiting for Robin to pick us up!

Our first day at the beach. Robin's friend Jessica met us there with her two darling girls. We knew Parker and Jessica when they lived in Provo but they moved shortly after we met.

I am pretty proud of myself for handling three kids on my own every morning at IHOP.

This sums up Me and Robin and our children.

We also got to touch a jellyfish! So cool, but sooo slimy.

The Adlongs took us to dinner on Friday night at an authentic Italian place. Our waiter was hilarious and the decor was.....well.... eclectic.

Our poor husbands work to death and we still want them to stay awake and giggle with us all night. Needless to say, we had to turn in early.

Late night cupcake run!
