Garth

Let me take you back to Kanab circa 1991. We had just moved BACK into our house up in the canyon. We had traveled around with the highway patrol to Greenriver, Moab, Richfield, then back to Kanab. I was in the first grade. I remember the day we moved back into the house. I was in my room, which is now moms craft room... and I remember having a big bowl of hot water an soap so I could clean the walls before we moved my bed into the room. My dad was outside watering the grass and the boys were outside helping dad clean the yard. Casey was downstairs cleaning her room and I remember hearing mom playing with baby Chase in the kitchen. I always hear that you remember most of the details the first time you hear a song. Thats where I was when I first heard "Friends in low places" it's a silly song to remember so well but I will never forget it. I don't think we realized how easy we had it back then. Ever since, I have LOVED Garth Brooks. I put seeing him in concert on my bucket list around five years ago. Last weekend, my dear husband made it possible for me to cross it off. What a great time we had. I couldn't help but get a little teary eyed when he sang that song because I thought of my wonderful childhood and how some silly songs seem to play a pretty big part.

Dax turns TWO!!

In unrelated news to the title, Chad finally finished his work desk for the garage. His brother Travis came down from Wyoming to help him build it and they literallly spent all day. Chad has since put some paint on it, but it's finally done! Now he has a work bench to make me lots of other projects :)

Daxton turned two on Sunday the 21st. He and Mike are exactly one month apart. Which is funny because they were both given the same due date of April 11th. Mike came two months early then Dax came one month early. We are so lucky to have this little boy in our lives. He has been a blessing from day one. It has been such a fun sight to see Chandler as a dad and he makes me so proud to have him as my brother. He is such an amazing dad. I love these two so much. We had a little party for Dax on Saturday and it turned out to be quite a fun day! We went to jumping jacks, then had friends over for cake, pinata, kites, bubbles and of course burgers!

Mikey got a mower for his b-day and it was a wise choice for Dax to get the same thing. Now they can mow together!

I sure like this guy

Happy Birthday Dax! We love you so much!

On saturday Chad and I took the kids to the rock and mineral show. It was pretty lame but the kids sure loved the dinosoar!

Nemo Hat

I have felt so yucky and I am finally feeling better. I know, I'm home doing nothing so there must be time to blog right? Well, I did blog. Just not update. I read lots of blogs. All of yours in fact. Well, all of yours on my right sidebar. Oh how I love when you update. I however, am now doing my part. Like I said, I have been sick so I haven't done diddly, but we did have Chad's brother Travis' family come to visit. It was lots of fun to visit with Lyndy and let the kids play. We went to jumping jacks to let the kids expend some energy. Boy was it worth it.

Next, this was today. You will notice that my little boy has a Nemo swim diaper on his head. Why you ask? well, he kept handing it to me saying "Nemo Diap?" "No" I finally said "It's a Nemo hat!" then he proceeds to put it on his head and wear it for the remainder of the day. That's right, even when I went to the post office AND Macys. I'm the weirdo that let's her kids wear diapers on their heads. Stare all you want just don't judge.

And also I know everyone is making these, but I'm proud as a peach that I finally figured it out.
