~~~~4 YEARS!~~~~
Well, today is our four year anniversary. Chad is currently hiking with his brothers in the Uintas so he isn't here, but he sure is on my mind a lot today. I can't believe it has been four years. I can't even picture my life without Chad. I can't remember being "really happy" before we met. Here is our story:
Chad and I met about 6 years ago. I was sort-of dating his good friend and roomate at the time and they lived in the apartment above us in the westminster apartments in St. George. I remember hanging out at his place all of the time and I kept thinking, who is this kid who prays on his food when everyone is around?? His spirituality hit me from day one. The friend of Chad's and I were going through regular dating drama and of course, Chad being the best friend, was the guy I went to for the info. We started talking every day and talks turned into long walks and days at the park. Before I knew it, I couldn't get enough of him. Things ended with the friend and Chad and I coudln't be separated from then on. We dated on-and-off for about two years. Finally we decided we were sticking it out to see if its what we really wanted. After dating "exclusively" for a few months, Chad told me, "we never really go out on official dates.Let me take you out on a real date." So, he came and picked me up in the morning, took me to the mall, and said, pick out a new outfit. Anything you want, on me. Who is going to pass that up? So I got shoes, a belt, jeans, a shirt, and I think a watch... haha... Okay, I went a little overboard. Then, he took me to an art gallery, we walked around a little, then he said "I'm hungry, lets go eat" So we got in the car, and drove out to Entrada, the golf course I was working at at the time, and we drove to my favorite hole, #9.... It has an amazing tree and a wonderful view. He had a picnic set up , with panda express (our fav.) we ate, I thought, wow, this is SOO not Chad to do something so romantic!! Then, after our meal, he handed me my fortune cookie and I cracked it open. My fortune said, Will you marry me? I couldn't believe it. Not only had we never talked about marriage, but I had NO idea he was even "there". We were married 3 weeks later and we've never looked back. I love him so much. So so so so so so much. .....
Okay, I know it is an overkill of pictures, but you try going through 4 years of pictures and narrowing it down!!
Our weekend
What a week!! Things get so busy and I know you all know how hard it is to blog inbetween the busy-ness.... Anyways, I am finally able to upload some pictures and even a little video for ya'll!! Chad is going on a 4 day hike with his brothers so my mom is here with me for the week so I'm not all alone. I can't explain how nice it is just to sleep in and run errands without having to schedule the time in with Chad!! I'm so glad to have her here and hopefully we'll get some pictures of the fun things we do this week. On Friday Chad and I went on a double date with santa and albania and it was so weird to not have any kids to chase around. I kept looking around wondering who was pooping, or who was getting into something they shouldn't. It was awesome. We did some dinner at Mimi's and we were lucky enough to see Mimi herself!! Then we went down to watch Brian Regan live. It was hilarious. I'm so glad we could do it. Thank you Brock and Kimmy poo for watching our kiddos. It was a long over due break. Then Saturday we went to the Utah County Fair that they have here in Spanish Fork, and it is right across the street from our house. It was nice to make some more money parking people on our land!! Then on Sunday we went to Loa to meet Chandler's little boy Daxton. He is so cute! I can't help but think he looks so much like Mikey, but maybe it is because they are so close in age. It was awesome to see Chan be a daddy. He is a natural. Oh, and I almost forgot, Mikey got his first haircut!! It was getting to the point where I had to do something. He had rubbed a big bald spot in the back of his head so the rest just had to go. He looks studly. Anyways, here is the update, Enjoy!!
Here is the flippin huge window I helped Chad put into the office. It was like midnight but we had to do it when the kids were sleeping.
The office Chad built. It is almost done! YAY!!
He cut the cement, and now he is going to dye it.
Okay, so here is the video..... my mom used to do this to us when we were little, and now I'm doing it to mine. Mike was cracking up the whole time. This just shows you what a happy baby he is.
HILARIOUS BD WEEKEND!!!!
Okay, so you know how there are those times when you have an out of body experience and you feel like you weren't really even there?? Well, this weekend was like that for me. Friday started out dropping the kiddo's off in Cedar with my mommy, going to St.George and spending some much needed quality time with my BFF Lizzy then heading down to Vegas for the release of Breaking Dawn. Lexie, Rams, Andrea, Angie and I were all in one car and we headed down around 8:00 our time. We laughed the whole way there. Then when we met up with the rest of our partay, Chels, Mikkel, Kas, Mikkel's aunt and cousin at the Cheesecake factory for some YUMMY dinner and some not-so-good service. Kas brought some tattoos so we took advantage of those and dressed ourselves up as much as we could. After we ate we went to Barnes and Noble for our books. Okay, we all love the books and we were excited for the new one, but the people there were INSANE. You'll see how insane in the following pictures. After we all got our books we went back to the apt for some reading but we didn't so much read. We just sat up and giggled the whole time. When we woke up, we swam, ate, and headed home. I didn't want the day to end!! I was honestly so sore from laughing so hard. Thank you so much kas and Mikkel and Chels for the work you put into it. I wish we could make this like a once a month thing. I had such a blast and I will never forget it. I'm so pleased with the group of girls. We had so much fun together and I'm so glad I got the chance to get to know some of you better. Thanks girls for the weekend of laughs...... :)
Oh ya, ps......... The B&N we went to was having a masquerade party so that is why we have masks ;)
YAY!! We are about to get our books!!
And the purchase is made!
