Remember

Remember the days when we all used to blog? Everyone I follow and everyone that follows me? What happened!? I can't believe how busy life gets. I read my friends and families blogs (those that update) But for some reason I can't find the time to comment. I promise I have been thinking about you dear blog. I have been thinking about you my readers (if you are still out there) And I promise I will get back to it. I have had excuse after excuse and now apparently I have to BUY storage from google so I can continue to blog. Hence, no pictures this time. We have had such an eventful year I can hardly wait to document it for posterities sake. I think about it daily and as soon as I can find the time to wiggle my way out of paying for storage, I will get back to blogging. I think about it every day! So, ta ta for now. But not for long.......

Tubes

Owen got tubes in his ears about two weeks ago. After countless ear infections and trips to the doctor we decided it was probably time to do it. Even though it is a simple surgery and the doctor does it all of the time, that doesn't make it any easier to let the nurse take your baby away to be sedated. After they took him away we were told to wait in the waiting room and they would come get us when it was over. Right when we sat down I ran to the bathroom and when I got back Chad told me I had just missed the doctor. O was already done! Right when we walked through the double doors I could hear Owen screaming. He was livid. We didn't know what to expect when he woke up and he literally screamed for two hours after the surgery. When he finally settled down and took a 3 hour nap. Poor baby broke my heart. He is totally fine now and hopefully we will have a healthy winter! Our good friends the gassers took our other two over night so we didn't have anything else to focus on other than Owen. We are lucky to have them as friends.

Powell 2012

This year Bubba and his family invited us to spend some time on their houseboat in Powell. It used to be a tradition until kids and life happened. The last time we were out was when Grace was a year old. I can't believe it had been that long. This year was different from the other years. Having three young ones to keep your eye on is pretty stressful. Grace is a pretty good swimmer and Mikey kept his life jacket on the whole time, but Owen was a handful. I loved every minute of it and I couldn't help but think of the memories we were creating for our kids.  We enjoyed it so much.

We met everyone at the dock before sunrise and killed some time with the camera while we were waiting for everyone to wake up

Getting ready to take off. Mike was fascinated with the boat and Uncle Bubba was kind enough to show him the ropes.

Sunrise day 1

We hadn't been at our spot for longer than 5 min when the kids were already in the water

A little sand tasting

The fishing off the back of the boat was excellent this year

Gracie and her friend Eliza were paddle board experts.

After day two the kids were pretty sun burned and totally wiped out

Grace and Eliza swimming into the abyss

The boys built an awesome slide. The kids loved it.

O thought the feet-de-sander was his own private pool.

I love this picture. My poor Gracies cheeks hurt so bad from the sun even though I applied sunscreen what seemed like every two hours. The only relief she could get was to hold ice water on them.

Down time
