Gracie gets Baptized!

Gracies Baptism went so well. We were so luck to have so much family show up for her special day. We were only missing a few family members on both sides.  For weeks leading up to that day we would talk to Grace about what was going to happen and what was expected of her. She seemed to be really excited and I think she understood the commitment she was making.  I would talk to her about how getting baptized was a choice and she didn't have to do it if she didn't feel it was right. When we would say her prayers together at night she would always pray to know if it was the right thing for her to do. I was so proud when she said it was definitely something she wanted to do. She asked Grandpa Staheli if he would set her apart and give her the Holy Ghost.  I am so grateful for her little spirit and the knowledge that she has at such a young age. The day was so crazy and the last thing on my mind was taking pictures, but Im glad I got a few.

Grace turns 8!

On September 22 Gracie turned 8! She is growing up so fast. I don't know what I would do without this girl. She is such a big help to our family and I often put more on her than I should. Grace has been in the dual emersion program at ALA for two years now and I can't believe how smart she is. She can understand so much spanish and is getting really good at speaking it.  Whenever we hear updates from her teachers they always tell us what a good girl she is and how smart she is. This year for her birthday we knew we were going to have family in town so I gave her the option of having a big party with lots of friends at the house or she could choose a few friends and cousins to go to nickel mania and lunch. She chose the ladder. It was so fun to go out with these girls and listen to the things they talk about. They just wanted to jam out to Taylor Swift and Justin Beiber the whole ride. I loved it so much.

Good luck was on Gracies side that day because she hit the MEGA jackpot and scored a thousand tickets in one game!!

She chose IHOP for her birthday lunch

The big gift from mom and dad was a karaoke machine. This girl loves to sing.

Happy Birthday Grace! Dad and I are so proud of you and the amazing smart sensitive girl you are.

August

My blogging is falling farther and farther behind. I can't even keep track of  my pictures these days to decide what I've blogged about and what I haven't. Here is my effort to catch up on the last few weeks. I will blog about Gracies baptism and birthday as soon as I have a little more time.

I turned 29! Crazy to think I am one year away from 30, but honestly I've never been happier or in a better place. Chad and the kids made me a cake and put really tall candles on it. I was laughing so hard because they were all falling over and we almost had a fire hazard on our hands.

While we were doing some yard work at Grandma Glo's house we had a little fun with the leaf blower. I don't think I have laughed that hard in a really long time.

Trying on Halloween masks

We took the kids to the animal shelter a few saturdays ago. Owen loved the kittens.

The rain we have had has been unreal! The kids loved it and I loved watching it come down over the valley.

Chad and I took Grace shopping for a baptism dress. Everything was sleeveless but she had so much fun trying on a million dresses. I can't believe how grown up she looks.

Helping me can peaches!

Saturday garage clean

Grace and Mike are both in soccer this fall. It is hard because they have games on the same nights and often in different locations. We have had fun watching them but it does make for crazy Tuesday and Thursday nights!

Our tramp is finally done!! I can't believe how much we have enjoyed it.

Owen and Carsyn. They are the cutest cousins.
