What we've been up to!

I never really think of myslef as a busy person, but holy cow things are just not slowing down! This week we have just been busy with projects and there are so many to do I don't think we will ever get done. Chad is working from home so he is building an office out in our garage. I am pretty proud of him for teaching himself as he goes along. It is all framed and he is just finishing up the electrical. Grace loves to go out and help him. I am re-finishing a crib I got at the antique store in Kanab and I don't know how long that will take me, but Mikey has been sleeping in a tupaware drawer ever since he got home from the hospital and he has finally out grown it! He was so tiny that I didn't want to put him in a big bed. Speaking of big, he had his 3 month check up yesterday and he is 10 lbs, 14 oz. Crazy. I can actally dress him now! A couple of days ago I was able to go with my friend Kim and her kiddies to Cabelas so we could let the kid's see the animals. They had so much fun! Grace loves little jackson and ellie. They are her favorite friends to play with. Even tho they don't always get along, they love to play. Well, I will keep everyone posted on the office and the crib. Hopefully we will get a lot done today!!!

Thursday to Wednesday!!

What a week... My pictures are way out of order but you get the idea. Well last thurday we had the pleasure of having the Boulters over for some din din and the Office Finale. It was sweeeet... we had some good laughs as Sara and I made some strawberry shortcake and If I eat another strawberry or even watch the cartoon I will puke. It was awesome. They are such fun pals to be with. Then on Saturday I headed down to K town because I was feeling a little homesick. Chad is such a good hubby to let me go and leave him all alone just so I can get my fill of red dirt. It was SOOO nice down there. The weather was awesome. Just getting nice and warm. I love it. There is nothing like Kanab summers. On our way down I had to stop at a rest stop to let gracie use the potty and I had to feed Mikey so we were in the stall while I was feeding the baby and Gracie was singing so cute so I decided to film a lil bit of it.. In case you can't hear the words, they go, "a little peanut sat on a railroad track, his heart was all a flutter, engin 29 coming down the line, toot toot, sqeak, peanut butter" It's darling. Then when we got to Kanab, Clayton and Lex took us to see grandpa Bob's new horsies and they were SOOO cute. The girls ate some ice cream while they watched the horses. I had a minute to look around and realize how lucky I am to have grown up in a place like Kanab. All of you from there know what I am talking about and for those of you who haven't gone, you must go. The mountains of red rocks are etched in my memory and when you look around it looks like it should be a postcard. I love that place and no matter where I end up it will always be home. Okay enough of the Cheeze, look at our NEW CAR!!! Thank you Sara and Alex for setting us up with Patrick. He got it at an auction for us for a WAY low price and we love it. Mothers Day!!!

Well what a busy couple of weeks. I keep waiting for life to slow down but it never does and I have a feeling it never will! First off, mothers day was excellent. I woke up and Chad took the kiddies and let me sleep in. I didn't wake up until 11:00 and I don't think I have been that rested in three months. It felt so good! Then Chad gave me my gift, which was a giftcard to a day spa here in Spanish Fork. There are so many options to choose from but I think I am going to do the 60 minute massage ;) then we went to church and had a big bbq with our friends when we got home. Yummy marinade on the steaks and strawberry shortcake. Is there anything better? Time is going by so fast I can hardly believe it. Two kids, a new house and new job, things are awesome. I had some time to reflect on how awesome it is to be a mother and I think I really take it for granted a lot. Gracie is in her terrible two's and man are they terrible. I honestly want to ring her little neck sometimes. But the moments when she comes in and kisses me for no reason or when she says "I want mommy to do it" I can't believe how lucky I am to have her. She is such a cutie patootie. And baby mikey is a miracle in himself. I love them both so much!! what a lucky mommy I am. Now to explain the pic of me looking like trash with Grace. Last week I was taking Gracie's shirt off for a bath and she accidentaly scratched me in the eye. Well, It felt like I had shards of glass under my eyelid so I finally went to the eye doc. I guess we all have like 5 layers of skin on our eye and Gracie scratched through 4 of them. I had to wear a protective contact for a while and I thought I would never see again, but I'm fine now!! Kinda random I know, but of course something like that would happen to me!!

Chad Graduates!!!!

Law school is over!!! I can't believe that we started law school three years ago and now it is over. When we moved to Provo I was 9 months pregnant with Gracie and we had no idea what we were getting into as far as school goes. Chad honestly made school look so easy. He made time for his family while a lot of the other students stayed at school from sun up to sun down to get good grades. I am so greatful to have a husband who would rather be with me than trying to get the best grades. He did end up graduating at the top half of his class with a 3.35 He is such a smartie!! Chad got a job working for a hospital company that is based out of Chicago. He will be on their general council but he gets to work from home! We will be in Utah for sure for another year because Chad is also working on getting his doctorate in education and the company has allowed him to stay here while he finishes. Who knows what after that! I am so greatful to have such a wonderful smartie pants in my life!! love love love him.
