St. Jeezy

We have had the BEST two weeks. I felt like we haven't been able to do much this last year because of my pregnancy. We decided that we would take a vacation for a month somewhere sunny after the baby was born. I had my heart set on California, but we decided to buy a van, so Cali was out.  Where do you go when you can't go to the beach? The next best place... St. George! Chad's parents were so sweet to let us rent their house for two weeks while we were there.  The kids teachers were so great about getting all of their work put together so they wouldn't fall behind. I had to homeschool the kids and it. was. not. easy. Especially with the kids looking out the window at a swimming pool all day.  We were able to go to my nieces game in Cedar on Thursday. It is always so fun to watch her play. We had such a good time I hope we can make this an annual thing!

Mckenna is on the far right. This was right before the game started. She starts!

We took the kids to the children's museum. It was so awesome! And free! Aunt Bekah was able to come spend the weekend with us. She got some awesome pics.

One of the Sundays we took the kids to the Temple to walk around. It was pretty crazy walking around where we got married with our four kids!

Battleship!

Henry got really sick while we were there so we had to go to the doc. He ended up with an ear infection and the croup :(

The weather was amazing. We were outside a lot.

We took the kids to the new Lego movie. Mikey loved it so much!

The Fractured Prune. Yummy yummy donuts.

The dino museum. Not my favorite place ever.

Late night ice cream runs

Hiking!

Sometimes I don't take enough time to slow down and enjoy my family.  Things get so busy we forget to really spend "time" together.  Even though we are with each other all of the time we usually don't make the most of it. I loved watching the kids play together while we were there. Owen can touch the bottom of the hot tub so I wasn't too worried while he was out there with the kids. They would literally be out there for hours playing games and make believe.  I would just sit with the baby and listen to them play. I remember feeling so incredibly content.  Chad and I were able to go to a session while we were in town. My mom drove over to watch the kids so we could do so. It was so great to be with him in that Temple.  I am one lucky lady.

Your trip looked so fun and seems like it was the perfect time to go and get out of the cold. Sometimes I wonder why we ever moved away from St. George.

What a darling little family! Next time you come let us know my kiddos would love to play with yours. My husband grills the meanest burger around. :)414-1201
