This year Bubba and his family invited us to spend some time on their houseboat in Powell. It used to be a tradition until kids and life happened. The last time we were out was when Grace was a year old. I can't believe it had been that long. This year was different from the other years. Having three young ones to keep your eye on is pretty stressful. Grace is a pretty good swimmer and Mikey kept his life jacket on the whole time, but Owen was a handful. I loved every minute of it and I couldn't help but think of the memories we were creating for our kids. We enjoyed it so much.
We met everyone at the dock before sunrise and killed some time with the camera while we were waiting for everyone to wake up
Getting ready to take off. Mike was fascinated with the boat and Uncle Bubba was kind enough to show him the ropes.
Sunrise day 1
We hadn't been at our spot for longer than 5 min when the kids were already in the water
A little sand tasting
The fishing off the back of the boat was excellent this year
Gracie and her friend Eliza were paddle board experts.
After day two the kids were pretty sun burned and totally wiped out
Grace and Eliza swimming into the abyss
The boys built an awesome slide. The kids loved it.
O thought the feet-de-sander was his own private pool.
I love this picture. My poor Gracies cheeks hurt so bad from the sun even though I applied sunscreen what seemed like every two hours. The only relief she could get was to hold ice water on them.
